Getting to Seymour

Seymour is a proud gateway town to the region, providing access to  to Victoria’s High Country, the Snowy Mountains, the Goulburn Valley and being a pit stop between Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.

Travelling by Road

Seymour can be reached from our Capital cities on the Hume Highway M31 an hour north of Melbourne, 6 hours from Sydney, and 5 hours from Canberra.

Seymour can also be reached from regional towns and cities on the Goulburn Valley Highway M39 between Shepparton and Alexandra as well as the McIvor Highway B280 and the Northern Highway which links the Bendigo and Heathcote region to Seymour.

Snow Country is only 1 hour 30 minutes from Seymour, a perfect day trip with Mansfield and Mount Buller linked to Seymour via the Hume Highway M31 and Maroondah Highway B300 as well as the Goulburn Valley Highway B340 and Maroondah Highway Link B300

Travelling by Train

V/Line services run from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Seymour regularly with up to 20 services a day as well as from other regional towns, please check the V/Line Timetable for further details.
